Dressing for fall/winter gives us the chance to wear amazing textures and fabrics such as wool, cashmere, leather and suede. Don’t get me wrong, summer is still my favorite season, but I can’t help feeling excited to start wearing again some of my favorite knits and scarves that have been sitting in the closet for the past months!
I love these early winter days where the air gets a bit cooler, the leaves in the trees are decorating the city in bright colors and Christmas decorations start popping up to embellish the city. I feel like it’s time to get into the holiday spirit, bundle up layering clothes and get cozy by wearing thicker and warmer pieces, such as my favorites this season: blanket scarves.
Sometimes I get too excited and feel like wearing all those gorgeous fabrics and textures at the same time… How am I supposed to pick only one? Sorry, I can’t! 🙂 Mixing winter textures is fun, but it can also be tricky and create an overloaded outfit. I like to play with proportions such as a skinny bottom and a chunky top or stick with the same color palette to avoid a busy look… Try it out, I think you can never go wrong with these tips!
