The tartan dress has also been through a make-over this season. Although most plaid dresses still have thicker, more structured materials, there are also other silky and flowing designs that you can target this season, especially in a maxi-length – which is rather new for tartan styles. With regards to all the other lengths, short skirts and dresses are of course a classic style, but we are really in owe of pencil skirts and how well they look with patent ankle boots. In fact tartan is a perfect match for patent leather.

The suit was from Topshop , but this picture is from a couple of years ago, so the clothes are not available any more, but I found these cool tartan pants on sale that you might like at Shopbop !
