Street Style – Best Jackets

Always stylish and timeless pieces in our wardrobes, the jackets are probably the most fashionable pieces borrowed from men’s wardrobes. Yes, there are also the shirts, pants or denim, however, the jackets have always looked more chic on women. Even if we are talking about the classic structural design of the men’s blazer, or the cropped Chanel jacket, the blazer gets an update every season. This is why this piece of clothing will always be desirable.

In terms of patterns and color variations, probably you have done your homework and you already have in wardrobe a black jacket, a nude one, a striped or a sparkly one. For spring 2012, we extend the list so with a lace jacket, a floral or digital print, one neon blazer and a metallic jacket. And to reach number 10 – what about a white jacket and a tweed blazers?

White Jacket Street Style

White blazers are worn very much the same as the black ones: part of elegant outfits. You can either opt for a fitted jacket or a boyfriend one. But the size is an important detail in both: the jacket’s shoulders should follow your body shape perfectly, and as a feminine touch you can slightly roll your sleeves to reveal layered bracelets or a men’s watch. They work perfectly as accessories. Tweed Jacket - Street Style

The lady-like piece of 2012 is definitely the tweed jacket. The style is usually cropped, Chanel-inspired has the power to dress up any outfit, to make it classy and elegant. Certainly, the jacket can be accessorized with pearls or over-sized necklaces for a maximum potential. We like tweed jackets woven with metallic threads, they looks stunning with either leather pants or torn jeans – both skinny and boyfriend.Pattern Jacket

If I had to choose just one of these jackets, without much doubt, I would go for printed jackets. Digital prints, floral, geometric or abstract are more present than ever. You have many inspiration muses from Marni and Mary Katrantzou, but also from the many styles in high-street stores. They look amazing with basic t-shirts, but for a note-worthy look, wear them with another print!
